Saturday Morning at nine thirty occlock about a hundred C'ville kids went to Dewey to the track meet. We got there about ten thirty & went to the high school and had the musical contest. Leslie Scoville took 2nd in Violin. Then Vernola & I went to a restaurant & got dinner, then went to a hotel down the road where all the kids were & danced untill two occlock then we went to see the field meet (see next page) That was out about 700 occlock and then Cap V. & I went to Bartlesville for supper. Then we came back for the oratorical & declanation contest but didn't get there in time for the declamation. Mary came in second & a little boy took 1st

Muddy Field Proves a Handicap to Contestants in Field Events and No Time Was Kept on the Speed Contests — Graham Brothers Proved Stars While Hamilton, of Dewey, Won Prize as Best Athlete.

The eighth annual Santa Fe track meet was held yesterday and was successful in spite of the rain and mud. The track was a regular "wading pool" and no time was taken on any of the track events.

The results of the music class were as follows: Mixed chorus, Bartlesville, first; Dewey, second. Girls quartette, Collinsville, first; Bartlesville, second; Dewey, third. Violin, Bartlesville, first; Coffeyville, second; Collinsville, third. Voice, (soprano), Ramona, first; Caney, second; Collinsville, third. Vocal solo, (mixed), Dewey, first, Caney ,second. Girls' Glee club, Caney, first; Bartlesville, second; Copan, third.

Track and field events, 50-yard dash Klewer, Dewey, first; Stafford, Collinsville, second; Hamilton, Dewey, third; 880-yard run, Wood, Coffeyville, first; Eschleman, Dewey, second; Thomas, Dewey, third; Discus, F. Craft, Collinsville, first; B. Graham, Bartlesville, second; Gablear, Coffeyville, third, distance 96 feet 11 1/2 inches. 120 high hurdles, Hamilton, Dewey, first; M. Graham, Bartlesville, second; Julian, Bartlesville, third.

Mile run, Wood, Coffeyville, first; Eshleman, Dewey, second; Lannom, Bartlesville, third. High jump, B. Graham, Bartlesville, first; M. Graham ,Bartlesville, second; Smith, Collinsville, third, height 5 feet 3 inches. 

Mile relay, Dewey, first; Bartlesville, second; Coffeyville, third. Grade relay, Caney, first; Bartlesville, second.

The all-around man was Hamilton, of Dewey. He led the others with a score of 14 points. Three other entries, M. Graham, of Bartlesville, B. Graham, of Bartlesville, and F. Craft, of Collinsville, tied for second with 11 points.

The final scores for the different schools were as follows: Dewey, 42; Bartlesville, 33; Coffeyville, 29; Collinsville, 29; Caney, 2.

The Piano contest in the evening was won by Maude Harwood, of Bar-Gower, of shrdlu cmfwyp shrdlu shrdltlesville. The declamation by Lee Gower, of Ramona, and the oratorical by J. D. Grant, of Dewey. 

The medals and cups had not arrived and could not be presented.
