Dear Ma.

Just a word, as I must drop a line to Phil.

Mr Thorp has just brought me home from the station where we put Ed & Herb aboard the 7:18 train for camp. Mr & Mrs Thorp drove out there last Sat. & brought the bags home Sunday. It rained so yesterday & Monday that we figured they might as well remain here. They are feeling very hopeful for results - are cultivating nearly ten acres. Working like nailers & I believe it will prove a fine existence for them.

Hood & Miss Julius honored us at supper last evening & John Barnhart happened to be calling on Bob & as he is particularly fond of your Mais chicken gravey, she phone his mother for permission to keep him to supper. Miss J. knows John's mother quite well.

Miss J. is very pleasant and a good girl. Hood thinks so too. Strange today - they went over to Ash Green on the last train at 9:30 - 63rd St. Station.
