Presbyterian Elder, Rutherford, N.J. later famous Editor N. Y. Sun was Hessian ancestry, Rutgers College, N.J. married Emily Ann Williston, Cambridge, Mass. Mt. Holyoke College..English born.

Addendum: Hessians were called "pouter pigeons" due to the high chest posture. Whenever we grancchildren annoyed Grandma, she would call us "Little Hessians."
