Waco

did it successfully with no damage to the park or people. When the cop took him into the proper city official, one that George knew, the official knew George had landed in an emergency, and gave him a written permission to do so, in the future.

We have landed! Dear doctor, lookit the mud! Guess a half a mile from the pump is as far as this heavy ship will get. C.D. is getting anxious for a bath, as who isn't, Oh, that orange,
remember?
How can anyone as good looking as George get so dirty, and stay so lovable? I just don't get any attention either, when father and son get to -gether! ********** Later*******
All I want now is food and sleep. A trip in the air always makes me sleep and eat better.
The tank is filled for the deferred trip to-morrow. Too many storms. The gas was carried in five gallon amounts, a half mile each trip, until that huge tank was filled.
The ship must be out of line. George's spine always bothers him after flying it. It seems to rub out temporarily. George has not seemed well this year.
Buddie is so good and he is so tired too. The mechanic is the cleanest looking one of us all. C.D. has gotten a "yellow". (Taxi) C.D. and taxis are inseparable. George has put on his cap and put his goggles and helmet in his pocket. Pilots like dirty leather coats, marked with trips ...and memories... and never wear helmets off the field.
George has let Hank wear the helmet and goggles. (Resistals. Do they cost money!) Hank looks positively beatific. He's almost an aviator!
Buddie is in bed. The kink in George's shoulder does not rub out.
