The housekeeper answered the phone and door until this was abated ..Often with humor when there was a young "hopeful" hopeful one way or another on the phone I answered.. salemen for expensive cars etc. After a happy flattering follow thru from the many professional men I had danced with on the cruise, there were two not of this group who were persistent. I wasn't interested in getting serious...Iwanted an INTERVAL. Therefore we, house-keeper, and children packed up and drove to Florida. Meanwhile two incidents in Toledo, my car stolen, found in front of police station (rum runner gangs bet' Canada and U.S.A. and Prince dead. He went out for his evening piddle..never came in.. Police next morning came to say, Prince evidently had been poisoned and had to be shot as he lay in the gutter two blocks away. Our "family" man gone..dear God. Saved our lives in Asheville and in Troy, Ohio.
