Just the week before, I was going to take Janet, now 2 1/2 yr. old on her favorite walk, pushing her doll buggy. Buddie was across the street. Prince almost nudging Janet. I hurried back into the house for something. Coming out NO JANET OR PRINCE.
I called Buddie, we got in the car, drove to the water filled ditch end of street, not there. Now I could think. The trolley tracks! Buddie put his head out of the car window calling constantly for Prince. As we turned into the road paralleling the trolley track we heard Prince's big voice. There they were! Prince kept nudging Janet onto the sidewalk away from the curb bet' great bellows for us.Janet was crying not knowing where she was going.. Prince licked her face, heading her toward home. When we pulled up, Buddie grabbed Janet, still crying, "Mama", put her in the car with Prince head pointed to the sky/ waited letting out a volume of happy sound. Once in the car, my face also licked, Prince, in back seat with children kept his paw on them. And now/ DEAD. What kind of human would poison this Prince..four legged gentlemen who shamed too many humans.

                           ****************

I had never been to Florida, preferring wisely cooler climates for me. However, once more we needed sunshine more than Buddie's schooling temporarily.. We were on our way to sunshine for our several healths.
