Here's Another Airplane View Of The Big Arena
[[image]]
HERE is another picture of the huge arena at Bayview Park, snapped from an airplane by Russell Van Horn, News-Bee staff photographer. It shows the exact location of the arena in the park.
The photographer snapped this picture at an altitude of 900 feet, when the plane was over the swamp west of the Toledo Beach and Point Place car tracks.
In the background may be seen the river. The steamer City of Toledo has just passed thru the Terminal bridge en route to Sugar Island on the afternoon run and the bridge draw has not been closed. The Yacht Club lagoon is visible. The white streak is the road that runs along the river to the Yacht Club.
The two white patches at the right side of the arena are two of the Bayview Park baseball diamonds.
Photographer Van Horn took this view while flying as the guest of Aviators Charles W. Myers and Buck Weaver, who are taking passengers on pleasure trips from their airdrome across from the power house at the Casino.

The fence surrounding the arena is also shown. [[/caption to image]]

There was a swish as the airplane plunged thru space, a sharp click and here is the result.
What is it? Why, the photo of the Willard-Dempsey arena in Bayview Park, taken from the air by Russell Van Horn, News-Bee staff photographer on Wednesday afternoon.
FIRST OF ITS KIND.
Van left with his camera on Wednesday afternoon in search of novelty and he found it in the air. The picture, the first of its kind ever taken, clearly shows the huge banks of seats where close to 80,000 people will gather to see the two giants battle on July 4.
"At 900 feet I could almost pick out the seat I would like to occupy," declared Van. "But if it were possible to anchor an airplane in space I believe I would choose a point right above the center of the arena.
FLIES OVER CAMPS.
"Just to test that belief I asked the pilot to fly over the camps of Willard and Dem
