July 12 -

Dear Bud & Janet -
We've just had supper and the
elevator man "zoomed" us so much
our hair nearly blew off our heads.
Did you catch any fish? I didn't
call you to say good-bye because I knew
you were happy fishing.
The Roys get in to-morrow but
I wanted this to go "airmail" so I'm
mailing it soon. Better have the boy leave
some Dayton papers this week so you
can save clippings
On the roof of the hotel Tuller
next street row, there's a wooden airplane
the size of a Draw[[good guess?]][[grain?]], painted red -
just advertising the hotel, wont fly.
It wont be long after this until
we are back.
Kiss, hug to you & Janet
[[Mauia?]]-

Transcription Notes:
Most words marked with [[?]] still need transcription--I added words before two of the places with [[??]] since I thought I figured it out (the one where I placed "row" before [[??]] and "Roys" but I could be wrong. The rest of the [[??]] still need transcription. [image: illustration of a building that looks like the Statler Detroit hotel]]
