While Honolulu was acclaiming Pacific flyers New York played host to the national airplane tour expedition which arrives yesterday on trip to big U.S. cities to prove reliability of commercial flying. Here's a general view of the welcome at Curtiss field, L.I., when six of the planes had arrived here. WACO PLANES TO BE USED IN NEW AIR MAIL SERVICE
The Embry-Riddle company of Cincinnati, distributors for the Waco plane, has been awarded the contract by the federal government to carry the air mail between Chicago and Cincinnati by way of Indianapolis. The service is expected to begin by December 15. 
Waco planes, equipped with Wright Whirlwind motors, will be used in the service. Three planes will be in constant service with two in reserve.
