TOLDEDO, O. July 4—Age flung a challenge to youth today in Toledo. And youth flung it back.
Jess Willard, 22-year-old heavyweight champion of the world, was scheduled to meet Jack Dempsey, 24, in a scheduled 12-round bout for the [[?]] title is the greatest [[?]] ever [[?]] for much a [[?]].
The day dawned cloudless here.
Heat approximating 50 degrees was forecast for the [[?]] arena, which was [[?]] last night in the hope of making it [[?]] as possible. 
The day's progress was scheduled to start at 10 a.m., but the first preliminary did not begin until 11:02. Two preliminaries, which had been called off, were [[?]] in the program. 
SUNSHADES MUCH IN EVIDENCE AT ARENA
