FUSELAGE

*The fuselage is of wire girder construction and is extremely sturdy, special attention having been given to the distribution of lift and landing strains. The longerous are of ash tapering from front to rear and routed where permissible. Struts are of spruce and fittings of nickel steel.

*Substantial aluminum cowling is fitted around the motor and cockpits. Reinforcements are provided to guard against vibration and the strains due to entering and leaving the cockpits. The stream lining of the fuselage is completed by means of the usual turtle deck, in the front of which is an enclosed luggage compartment to which a sliding door affords access.

*The pilot seat is of wicker, comfortably placed and cushioned. Plane and motor controls are conveniently placed within easy reach. A natural mahogany dash board mounts a complete set of flight and motor instruments. All floors are of three ply mahogany.

*The passengers' compartment is unusually roomy, being 34" in width and affording generous leg and arm room. It is completely lined in black chase leather and a mahogany dash carrying an altimeter adds a finishing touch. The passengers seat is of mahogany veneer, formed into a curved back and bottom and amply upholstered in the same material as the cockpit lining. A broad windshield protects the occupants from the air stream.

*Access to the front seat is unobstructed by wires and no high steps or excessive stooping is necessary. Additional luggage space is provided under the front seat.

EMPENNAGE

*The horizontal stabilizer is fixed and of a reversed camber. The vertical fin, rudder, and elevators are of steel construction, the movable members being provided with the conventional control horns actuated by cables.
