[[strikethrough]] Mr. Wm Palmer of the Museum [[/strikethrough]] Messrs. Elliott and Palmer collected while at St. Paul Island, Bering Sea, a very interesting series of shells and Miocene fossils. 

From Miss Ida Shepard and Mrs. M. Burton Williamson of Sta. Barbara Co., Cal. various interesting Californian species were received on several occasions. 

Mr. Frederick Stearns of Detroit, Mich. sent for exchange the first series of duplicates of his very interesting and valuable collection recently made in Japan. 

From the U.S. Department of Agriculture, through Dr. C. Hart Merriam in charge of the Division of Economic Ornithology, a number of small lots of landshells and freshwater shells, collected by the agents of the Department in Arizona and other parts of the South-western United States, [[strikethrough]] came to hand.
