Her mother said that last year both roommates were hard smokers and as E. doesn't she was greatly annoyed by it. But this year she is in with 2 of her friends and none of them smokes so the room is pretty liveable. I told her how smoking in your place was permitted only in a smoking room and she said that was the way it should be. She said E. had spoken of you last summer and wished she could see you and I told her maybe next June you could get together and compare notes.

Do you stay up nights these days? I hope you get to sleep by 10, for 6 AM. is pretty early if you don't. I expect as the mornings grow darker you will sleep later. Do you do most of your studying in your room? Have you been in Widener yet? I expect that isn't encouraged by the powers that be.

We may go to the beach again this Sunday if it is nice, and take Sophy & Dolores if they want to go. Sophy would go in with cakes of ice floating about her, I feel certain. I must get hold of Dolores too. She got tickets for the Bergman show for Nov. 16, matinee at the Lisner Auditorium. They are using that for public performances regularly this year, and say it is the largest stage south of N.Y.

I hope you have answered Rob't's letter by now. I suggested he spend the night in Stoughton.

Glad you went to see poor Maude.

Love,

Mother.
