Dear Doris:
I hope your white suit has arrived for Sunday. Did you get a thundershower last night? I met Carolyn going to the playground yesterday with 2 Chinese dolls. She said there was was a doll contest on there [[?]], and she hoped to win a prize. I saw Bobbie come home later with her doll, but haven't heard of the prizes yet. It is going to be very hot here. We want to go swimming too — shall miss you tomorrow. Maybe we will take Richard along. the mice and other animals are O.K. Your garden is blooming and we are going to clean out the catfish & mice this afternoon.
