Dear folks,

I found, just as you might have expected, that the girl who bought my tickets got round-way. I had to pay for them on-the-spot today: $24. I was very fortunate - it was a miracle - that the first girl I knew I met lent me $12. I can now either await your check or take the ticket to L. Station & cash in half. The girl is willing to wait a few days. I did another foolish thing tonight - decided to go to the Idler play with Joan Wright, a very nice girl on second floor - & had to borrow 50ยข. So you see I'm flat.
Love, Doris
P.S. Play is "Have a Wife & Keep a Wife" - something old.
