Washington D C,
Nov 2 1868.

Major D G Swaim,
A A A General.

Sir.

I respectfully ask that the school building on 6th St near M St (Island) be repaired to the amount of $60.00, and that Rev J M Johnson be paid for said repair, such amount, on his presenting proper bills. The roof is of felt & has not been repaired for two years. Unless something is now done to it, the building must be abandoned. Four schools are now carried on at that place.

Respy yours
