In compliance with verbal instructions, received from Office Assistant Commissioner D. C. I have the honor to forward the following specifications of School house to be built on Capitol Hill 11th and C. Sts Washington D.C. Viz - 

Foundation to be built of Blue Stone 25 x 40 feet 4 1/2 feet high, 18 inches thick, and 18 inches in the ground. One hard brick foundation in centre of building, 9 inches thick, to support floor.

Walls to be built of Building Blocks, 10 inches in thickness, (from floor to ceiling, 14 feet in the clear) and to be painted inside (2 coats) such colors as the Bureau may direct

Fleus - Two Fleus to be built of building blocks in such places as the Bureau may determine 

Heads and Sills of windows in walls to be built of building block material. Three large windows on each side. Two small ones in the rear. One large double door in front with suitable steps (of Carolina pine). All windows, doors and Trimmings to be painted

Ceiling to be plastered (2 coats and hand finished)

Roofs to be made of tin, with Gutter and Spouts (to be painted)

Cornish to be plain boxing, with O. G. Moulding.

All lumber, hardware, window and door frames, Sashes (glazed)
