Bvt. Lieut. Col. J. M. Brown, Disbursing Officer, B R F & A.L., will purchase for the use of this Bureau, a frame building on 'Effingham Place,' in the vicinity of Washington D.C., now for sale by Henry R. Searle, Architect, and a shed upon the same place, the property of P. Gallant, builder — the first for a mess-house, and the second for a shelter for the public horses used by orderlies. Col. Brown will, also, cause to be erected suitable hitching posts near the building to which these head-quarters are soon to be removed.
