Encloses bills for material used for school-house at that place amounting to $187.10. by request of Mr. C. Smith, contractor for building said house. States that Smith wants the $200. promised from the Bureau to aid in completing the house; that he took the contract for $350. and furnished all material; that the house is nearly completed and built according to plan furnished by the Bureau. Requests to have Check sent payable to Smith's order.

Respectfully forwarded. A good deed of lot is on file in this office. A promise of aid has been made on certain conditions, which according to Mr Calwells letter have been complied with. I therefore recommend that these bills be paid.
