Gen Chas. Howard

Dear Sir,
Our people are wishing as requested to vacate these premises, as soon as Saturday next if possible — but we find that the Colored family who say they have lived there since the building was erected are waiting orders to remove — They say they are told not to look for any place but that one will be found for them — Of this of course we know nothing. I thought it best to call your attention to the matter — so that our people need not be in the way of those who are to come in here
