Freight.

Shipped, in good order and well-conditioned, by Bvt Maj. General Rufus Ingalls Ass't Quartermaster Gen'l U. S. Army, on board the good Steamer called the "Saratoga" whereof is master, for this present voyage  now lying in the Port of New York, and bound for Richmond, Va
To say:

Freedmens Bureau paying Freight.

3 Bales Dry Goods

the property of the United States, being marked and numbered as in the margin, and to be delivered in the like good order and well conditioned, at the aforesaid Port of Richmond, Va (the dangers of the seas and fire only excepted) unto Bvt Lt Col. James M. Moore, Qr Mr. or to his assigns, Freedmans Bureau [[strikethrough]] shippers [[/strikethrough]] paying freight for the same as per margin.

In Witness whereof, the master of the said vessel hath affirmed to [[strikethrough]] four [[/strikethrough]] 5 Bills of Lading, all of this tenor and date; one of which Bills being accomplished, the others to stand void.
