Bangor July 19 1869 Major J M Brown Dear Sir Enclosed I send you bills for lumber shipt pr Sch Alfred F. Howe Capt Ellis could not get away without having some money to pay his bills. I let him have $29.50 & chgd to you which you can deduct from his freight You may send me a check on Boston for $1445.88 Should you want more lumber at any time I shall be glad to furnish at the lowest market price = You can order and I will chg no more than I should if you were here. Call and see me when this way whether I sell you or not Respectfully Yours Chas H Dennett
