Dear Doris:

Dolores appeared this afternoon from her morning at G.W. and stayed a couple of hours playing her pieces on the piano. She has just simple little first book things, but does very well for having only 6 lessons. The reason you haven't heard from her is partly this practicing and partly because she had to go up to Pennsylvania to her grandmother's funeral last week, missing several days of school. She said none of her classes this year took much studying. She takes Hist. of Art, 17th century literature, Hist. of Religion, and plans to work off the Zoology next half, but dreads it. She can't pass off her 1st 2 years without it, though. She wore the little green suit that some lady gave her and her new high heel slippers. I gave her the ones you sent back. They were too big, and she was disappointed, but she said her mother might wear them, so took them home. She has cut her hair in front and wears it in little curls, not bangs at all in appearance, though. She said she would write to you this evening, but something may interfere of course, but I hope she does. I told her
