Dear folks,

Well, here goes again! I'm trying to account for expenses:

$1.50 - Radditudes for 1 year (literary magazine)
6.00 - class dues, including News for 1 year
 1.00 - COOP card
1.00 - door key (returned at yr end, key & dollar)
 3.00 - govt. book
 2.50 - 3 Shakespeare books
2.00 - Mozart books (gave other to Norma)
 2.25 - clip-board, ear stoppers, 1 movie, watch chain
 1.50 - new pen
20.50 - Louise: to be soon repaid when V. Travel Co. gives us bill - we put total (Jean spent $16) on blank [[strikethrough]] cheque [[/strikethrough]] check.
[[tally line]]
$41.25 -- you will admit these things, save 1 movie & Radditudes are scarcely luxuries. Aside from COOP card, dues, key, and 4 books I spent only about $6.50. Rest of money -- if I did spend $55-- I cannot at present account for, save that I have spent not more than $4 or $5 on food; I have bought most but Jean will pay me back. I have spent some 50¢ on street cars; & indefinite amt. on outside food: sometimes I have to buy my lunch in Agasaz, when it costs about 50¢. Also took my Freshman sister to dinner: $2, which she returned yesterday. This adds about $7 to list. Don't think much is slipping. But I shall [[strikethrough]] need [[/strikethrough]] be all rgt. soon. I owe May $5 -- my bill for not [[strikethrough]] paying [[/strikethrough]] turning in schedule; with your money and $20 coming shall be O.K.

Don't think we were "high-handed"- we chose carefully; and wrote her. Pajamas is also a way of spelling accepted. Louise's mother herself asked me to take care of typewriter as it wouldn't ship safely; and it has been greatest blessing to me, because I can carry it around where I need it to take interviews with -- nearly dorms.

Let's see. Reiterate that wish Dol could send line. Got good picture of Nuenburg [[Nurnburg]] castle from
