Koen - where he is working for U.S. govt. on research. Nice letter from A.C. "Oaklahoma", tho' it set me back on sleep & didn't help my cold (contracted from eating too many of May's chocolates) was [[struckthrough: succee]] exceedingly worth while. Dick Sanders is very nice, gentlemanly boy, but to listen to him talk, which he does on slightest provocation, is like reading a long play: you have to imagine the expression and emotion changes, as neither his voice nor face record them, and when he shifts from the past (his stories) to the present (us) one has to read between the lines to recog it at once. [[Garff ?]]. Marion must have been in an awful hurry. Dol so it seems is wearing herself out. Are crysanthamums (misspelled: by way, I don't intend to make it a practice to spell correctly upon all occasion, so to keep you on your toes -- not tiptoeing, mind you).

Love,
Doris

P.S. Will have to buy a dress someday, as do not have enough winter ones.
