Dear Doris:

We were pleased to hear you are on the News, but trust it won't be too much of a strain. What feature story did you write? Do you know any of the girls on it and how big a part is yours?

I hope Jean didn't catch any cold from you - yours was mostly over. It is good too that Louise hasn't arrived to catch it from Jean. Glad your house isn't a smoker, but doesn't Louise?

Was it this coming Sat. you were to go with David Heer? Where about does his father live now, and is he a southern or a northern business man down there? Don't go out with anyone that you have repugnance for; you can get off without hurting feelings if you try.

Bobby Wms said her boyfriend lives in Hollis Hall. I don't know his name, tho. The baby is growing cute, she can smile beautifully and has dark hair like Bobby's. In fact her mother says she looks like Bobby more than the others did.

I have been at the Museum 2 mornings gradually working into the routine again, and driving down with the Baptists. They seemed really glad to see me again. They ask of you at the Museum, Mrs. Willis, and others. The rare beetle I got Sun. Barber fairly snatched out of my fingers and when I looked aghast said slowly, "You don't want it, do you?" as if I was a dog-in the-manger. This morning when I asked of it, he showed me how he had dissected it,- a most delicate job that must have taken hours. It was the first fresh specimen he had ever had.
