I am glad you have an inspiring teacher for humanities. I had Aurelio whose devotion to anything Greek was an inspiration too. I should love to hear this man on the Iliad and Odyssey. I liked the latter much better,- it wasn't so war like. Chaucer is fine too. Do you have the stories or just the prologue?

We are planning to start Friday for a weekend down at Wilmington. Dad has always wanted to collect late composites down that way - we have never been except in spring. I hope the weather holds good. It is warm here now. We shall be back Mon. night, that is if we go. I suppose if it is a driving northeaster, we may put it off.

Who is "Jolly"? If you type after breakfast or before 10 at night, it shouldn't bother anyone. If you put your machine on newspapers too, it deadens the sound somewhat. The new ribbon ought to reach you shortly. Keep account of your spending. Helen used to send Marion, who got her lunches out, $15 every 2 weeks. That ought to be sufficient to cover everything, - a dollar a day. Let's try to work out something like that so you can count on a certain sum; and budget yourself.

My cold is still hanging in the shape of a cough but I have gained 3 lbs by resting and having a daily nap. I really was way down - 115 lbs. If it would have done any good, - but all my work counts for little, I fear, and the place will be as filthy next summer and no one cares.

Here comes the man to fix our furnace pipe.

Love
Mother.

Be careful on your bike - don't ride at twilight or dark - and not on wet slippery streets. I hope you are getting it under cover in dampness.
