guess I can get along without a blouse.

English post card must have been misplaced --I haven't got my grade, and everyone else has. You'll be getting my other marks soon. Dolores did pretty well for herself, didn't she? I just found out I made a very stupid mistake on the History -- but I wouldn't have gotten above a B anyway. Grades won't be as good, but I think I have gotten a lot out of everything. Poor Nancy Tucker: for no reason whatsoever, she collapsed in the middle of History flunking it because when she recovered she didn't have the will to finish. She hadn't been up late, either, and had known everything. Nancy Carroll skimmed by on Chem. with a D. Everyone seems to have fallen down but Libby Pickles, who studies with a [[strikethrough]] pas [[/strikethrough]] terrifying intensity: even if she's not interested she [[strikethrough]] is awfully [[/strikethrough]] conscientiously [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] learns every last date, figure, name, etc. Several people ran great risks taking benzedrine, & staying up straight for a week. Phill Botner [[strikethrough]] stayed [[/strikethrough]] kept up 2 nights on will power alone; she collapsed in front of me one morning & I was nearly frantic -- no one else around - but luckily saner Hood came up. She uses benzadrine, but has a very tough constitution & is never harmed by it. Most everyone used No-doz = very concentrated caffeine pills. I slept & got poorer marks.

I know what you mean -- a week may wear out welcome. However, she has asked me for a week & we planned to do lots of things. If welcome is worn out, I'll come home earlier. [[strikethrough]] We w P [[/strikethrough]] Put all clothes in Bendix for last time, washed hair, & now have a day of packing ahead of me.

Love,
Doris
