Dr. Dexter M. Easton came to the University last fall fresh from finishing his doctor's work on Aspects of the Neurophysiology of Crustacea. He is now assembling some of the apparatus which will enable him to continue his study of the conditions maintaining the resting potential in the nerve fibres of some of the local crabs. He is also planning investigations in physiological ecology; an analysis of the physiological characteristics of closely related animals occurring in different habitats.
