than work at Woods Hole this summer. If you were really absorbingly interested in the latter phase I shouldn't object so much to it, but it is not evident that you are. It seems to me much better all round for you to work at Beltsville this summer - if you can get the job - and leave the possibility of a summer course at Woods Hole until next year. Please fill out the blank I sent and return it to me. As a matter of fact, it doesn't actually commit you to coming here, but it should be turned in as soon as possible.

The last two days have taking most of the snow out of our yard, although it is still in the yards across the street and in the woods. The streets are clear. Mother has got over her [[strikethrough]] cold [[/strikethrough]] grippe & I don't show any signs so far of coming down with it.
