The will of Mrs. Laura Welsh Casey brought $2500 as an addition to the Thomas Lincoln Casey Fund, making a capital of $12,184.81. This is used in the promotion of studies in Coleoptera.

The National Geographic Society has provided $7,000 toward the continuation of our cooperative archeological work in Panama under Dr. M. W. Stirling, Director of the Bureau of American Ethnology.

Mr. E. A. Link of Link Aviation, Incorporated, has contributed an additional $10,000 toward the work in marine archeology, being carried on by M. L. Peterson of the Department of History. Mr. Link further has added measurably in the design of apparatus for this work at his own expense.

The Wenner-Green Foundation for Anthropological Research has contributed $2,500 toward the publication of a report on folklore of western China, prepared by Dr. David C. Graham, long a collaborator of the Smithsonian Institution.

An additional sum of $4,000 has come from the same Fund, for archeology of the Olmec Culture of southern Mexico. This is to be carried forward by Dr. Philip Drucker of the Bureau of American Ethnology.

A friend of the Institution who wishes to remain anonymous has contributed $5,643.67 to assist in the operation of Barro Colorado Island.

E. R. Fenimore Johnson has added $10,245.06 to the Johnson Fund for the study of underwater photography and water turbidity.

Inasmuch as their presence was required in the Congress, Senator Anderson and Representative Cannon departed at 12 noon.
