Pastel painting, Huichol Indian by Anton Sario, an American citizen of Latvian nationality, offered by the artist, accepted for the Smithsonian Institution with recommendation that it be assigned to the Bureau of American Ethnology.

Oil painting, The Rapids by W. Elmer Schofield, N.A. (1867-1944), Henry Ward Ranger bequest, accepted for the National Collection of Fine Arts.

Oil painting, Henry Clay by Chester Hardig, transferred from the United States District Court of the District of Columbia, accepted for the National Collection of Fine Arts.

Two drawings offered by the American Association of University Women were treated as follows:

Brush drawing with ink and water washes, Woman on Couch by Philip Evergood, accepted for the National Collection of Fine Arts.

Pencil drawing, Scream Laughter Cup by Morris Graves (1910-  ), accepted for the National Collection of Fine Arts.

Seven miniatures, watercolor on ivory, were acquired from the fund established through the bequest of the late Catherine Walden Myer, as follows:
