Alexander Smith Dr. Vannevar Bush Mr. Robert V. Fleming Dr. Leonard Charmichael The Assistant Secretaries, Mr. John E. Graf and Dr. John L. Keddy CONSIDERATION OF APPOINTMENT OF ARCHITECTS FOR THE AUTHORIZED MUSEUM OF HISTORY AND TECHNOLOGY BUILDING The Secretary explained briefly the background of the need to consider the selection of architectural services for the new Museum and his conferences with the Public Buildings officials of the General Services Administration. Dr. Bush stated that he had a question in regard to Public Law 106's (69 Stat. 189) specifically charging the Board of Regents with the selection of architects in view of the fact that the supervision of the Administrator of the General Services Administration is mentioned in the Law. It was the consensus of opinion that the required drawings could not be prepared without architects, and that the Board of Regents is specifically "authorized and directed" to do this.
