No. 110. TS in Blue Coat by an Undetermined Artist. (Nos. 109 and 110 were acquired from Mr. A. C. Mayer, Washington, D.C.)

No. 111. Col. Josiah Parker (1751-1810) by Charles Willson Peale (1741-1799). (No. 111 was acquired from Mrs. Sue C. Bunch, Washington, D.C.)

No. 112. William Parsons, 2nd, of Gloucester, Mass., by Washington Blanchard (ac. 1831-43 in Boston). (No. 112 was acquired from Mr. A.C. Walling, Brookline, Mass.)

No. 113. Mordecai Manuel Noah (1785-1851) by John Wood Dodge (1807-1893). (No. 113 was acquired from the Estate of Ettie W. Noah Wilson through John L. Laskey, Washington, D.C.)

Gothic Room in its entirety. Offered by Mrs. A. Hamilton Rice, Newport, Rhode Island; accepted for use in Patent Office Building.

French Renaissance Room. Offered by George Widener; accepted for use in Patent Office Building. 

On motion these recommendations were voted approved.

The Commission also voted to recommend to the Board of Regents the re-election, the usual four-year period, of the following members, whose terms expired in 1957:

Robert Woods Blisss
George Hewitt Myers

and to recommend the election of Henry P. McIlhenny to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of John Nicholas Brown, and the election of Ogden Pleissner to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mahonri M. Young.
