VOTED to approve the report of the Smithsonian Art Commission

STATEMENT OF ACTIVITIES OF THE SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION SINCE THE PRINTED REPORT OF 1959

It was suggested that for the next annual meeting of the Board of Regents the reports from the heads of the various bureaus concerning the activities since the printed report for the fiscal year be summarized and made available to each Regent. The Secretary stated that this could be done, and was directed to do so.

Dr. Greenewalt felt that it would help the thinking of the Regents if the agenda could be sent to the Regents in advance of the meeting. The consensus seemed to be that this was an excellent idea, and the Secretary agreed to see that the agenda be distributed in advance of the meeting.

As it had been suggested that the Regents have other meetings in addition to the annual one a brief history of the dates of the meeting of the Board of Regents was given in outline form on the agenda from the Organic Act of August 10, 1846 through the Resolution
