POSSIBLE GIFT OF HOUSE AND COLLECTION OF MRS. HORACE E. DODGE PLUS ENDOWMENT

The Regents had before them a confidential report concerning this proposed gift. It was reported that Mrs. Dodge's son had very recently died. It had been proposed earlier that he live in the house for the rest of his life. Mrs. Dodge is presumed to be 94 years of age now. It is understood that she would like to live in the house for the rest of her lifetime. On motion by Dr. Fleming, seconded by Mr. Cannon, and carried it was

VOTED that the Board of Regents directs that the Secretary study further the ramifications of the gift proposed by Mrs. Dodge, and after consultation with the Executive Committee, submit a more definitive report to the Board at its next meeting.
