Dear folks,

This has so far been a week of great energetic output and accomplishment. I lay one cause, tho' it may be questioned, to having been at the Card's - for altho' that was also taxing, I have been held up since by what I fancied was love for mankind in general but probably was Paul in particular - [[strikethrough]] at [[/strikethrough]] & have not looked at ec, [[strikethrough]] which [[/strikethrough]] the ununderstanding of which was miserable - until today. Jane is invaluably helping me there. The reading period for Hist is also a boost, a great scare in its immensity & necessary care in reading: we are required to plan a very polished & elaborate answer (given before) question It will be the hardest work at exam preparation [[strikethrough]]that[[/strikethrough]] [[? even]] I hope to the good.

The optometrist, a Dr Igersheimer advised by the Health Center, tested my eyes Monday, will again Thursday; he thinks perhaps glasses are not needed, that it is a cramp [[strikethrough]] for [[/strikethrough]]  found among [[strikethrough]] the [[/striekthrough]] the young; the strain pain has lessened much; [[strikethrough]] if [[/strikethrough]] likely it was not permanent, tho Dr Lisza said the signs did tend to come on suddenly.
