Plume Data takes (Kanipe, Hieb, Mosel, Alder?) (this was originally planned in conjunction with IECM plume survey.... plume flow field not yet available, will have to be inferred) - Data reqm'ts: (1) SPAS accelerometers (2) VTR from 1 camera (they use this for photogrammetry to get actual position/attitude of SPAS relative to orbiter) (3) pan/tilt angles from that camera (to nail down final deg. of freedom for plume field) [Pan/Tilt & photogrammetry (VTR) used to establish location pre-firing, SPAS accel used to determine effect of plume] • Procedure: before the firing - zoom out camera (to help photogrammetrists) sel that camera on VTR (don't mux - pan/tilt not available) display "DATA" keep Pan ~0 (procedural ease) set tilt to center SPAS begin VTR at firing, give a "MARK" Note: it's important to know SPAS/orbiter position post-flight. Not to set a specific position very accurately during the flight
