10 MAR: previous MLR results: []MLR[] STS-3: started with 2 1/2 μ seed latexes. Grew to 5 μ (as hoped) STS-4: electrical problem - only got 18 V on experiment; no rcdr data, reaction didn't complete. The latexes were "finished" on the ground.... STS-6: repeat of STS-4 - hope will be to go from 5 1/2 μ to 12 μ STS-7 will use STS-6 results notes: · "pre-process" requires only 1 STS bus (& they don't care whether we disconnect one of outlets). Process requires both buses, or the 10A fuse will blow, terminating ops · MLR will shut itself down (pre or process) for a pwr transient, or an overtemp · PWR tb will read "OFF" if either orbiter bus is disconnected · MLR shuts off at termination automatically - but the rcdr keeps going, + will overwrite if not turned off by crew (accomplished by taking switch to "PRE")
