SUBJ: STS 41-D Flightcrew Report

The STS 41-D flightcrew report is enclosed. The report describes the payload activities, as well as Orbiter systems anomalies, and any "lessons learned." Recommendations are summarized at the end of the report.

The launch pad abort and resulting remanifesting presented a difficult challenge for a great many people. The ultimate outstanding success of the 41-D mission is testimony to how well the challenge was met by all those involved. The STS 41-D Astronaut Office crewmembers would like to express our appreciation to all those who worked so hard and contributed so much to this mission.
