Joe Sutter - Boeing (had been project manager on 747). Short, stocky in pleasant sort of way - red-faced, always ready to be red-faced in anger, or excitment. Looked blustery. Said what he thought, in no uncertain terms, with fairly colorful language (sprinkled liberally with damn & hell).

At the end, seemed most eager to keep up relations, & express appreciation - invited people to Seattle for tour of Boeing.

Bud Wheelon - Hughes VP for space ops. Tall, thin, glasses. Extremely articulate... Talked in rewritten, edited sentences...eloquent. Had more [guess] of Hughes Gulfstream, & dropped me off in Houston twice - once from Florida, once from DC. Comfortable plane, lots of food - cashews, drinks, peanuts, sandwiches, hor d'eurves, candy.... VCR, bar.
Wife & daughter went to Westlake, he went to Stanford (physics). Heavily involved in satellite industry situation & plans... gov't committees on strategy planning & assessment. Lead self-insuring effort for comm sats
