February 1

1978 - Wednesday - 2º at 7 AM, Fair & Cold - windy all day. Wes drove me to Helen's and she drove to Sally Moss' for second flower arranging class. Hoe at 1:20 - lunch. Wes had hobbied. We did a lot of shopping chores - bank - my drivers licence - (had picture taken) liquor - groceries - left charm at Craigs to add to bracelet - left check at Ridgefield Travel for Galloway Gardens reservation.

1979 - Thursday - 21º at 6 AM - dark morning - We're up early account Pat coming. Sun 7:07 - 5:? Day became sunny mid-morning but a huge wind made it very cold. I worked in Greenhouse in morning, shopping for groceries enroute house. Wes took a quick ride to All Hardware for cutter blade - Hobbies in afternoon. Sun visible thru rees on hill at 4:20. no fire in evning account high wind

1980 - Friday - 6º at 6 AM - cold night - heat furnace came on for first time - we turn it down below 60º. Big moon at breakfast time.
Starting my 8th year of retirement in good health, thank God. 2d Mass. Gizella packed me up & we [[?]] to Japanese flower arranging demonstration in Teen Center. Gizella went over plant watering on our return.
Wes had worked in shop. Cold windy day.

1981 - Sunday - 2º at 6 AM - Sunny day - temperature rose - over 40º at bedtime and leaving to 8 o'clock Mass - To Eileen's at 9:30 -went over house plan with her - to Marie's at noon for birthday dinner. Buttons met Francis the bird

1982 - Monday - 48º at 6:30 - Dropped to 45º at 7:00, Cloudy. windy - Hope for thaw. A lovely sunny day but temperature dropped steadily to low 20's by evening. Sun 7:06 5:11. I'm doing very little resting my back muscle - sorted checks for tax, started see order.
We worked in shop - split wood - had coffee with Ev Pierce - well now ar 65 feet

February 2

1978 Thursday 6º at 6:30. Cloudy & cold all day. Light snow flurries - about 3/4 inch. I swept the terrace and driveway twice.
Wes waxed third wall of den and cleaned all articles. I worked on tax records in morning
Wes hobbied in afternoon. I stained iinside of Grandfather clock. Viewed slides of house pictures lex too Jan 23rd - beautiful snow scenes & a couple of us.

1979 - Friday - 14º at 7 AM - Clear. Sun 7:06 - 5:14. Cold winter day - weird [[?]] high - unpleasant to be out: Quiet day for us. Wes relocated the sixth squirrel - worked in his shop. I finished white golf skirt - Planted the Garden Club seeds for the challenge class - Coleus - Pelaegonum  [[? Hypereceem]].
To M Q & J'sat 5 pm - Marsha and Dee Sieber there.

1980 - Saturday - 10º at 5:45. Cold, sunny winter day - high wind. Didn't go to Mass as left at 8:30 for White Plains - shopped at Marcus for paper - shopped Altmans - no beret & diary or cesiznart cover - did buy 2 [[? Bordertacks]] for Bahama [[?]] [[?]]. Saks - no beret. Bloomingdales no beret but diary and cover and [[? Naturg]] [[? Soup]] [[?]] 20 [[? celeere's]] - Bob & Mike there - had lunch and a good visit. Bought Bust at Charles Tarrytown. Home at 4 o'clock. To 5 o'clock Mass - Fr Medynski back.

1981 - Monday - 50º at 6 AM. Sun 7:05 - 5:15Rain, thank God - must have been over an inch. Most all snow melted. Water on top of icein pond and lots of Mallards. Wes in shop. I worked on tax records - realized hadn't paid final installment of estimated tax. To Marcus and bank to ask them to correct one interest form - received it 1-2-81, not in 80.

1982 - Tuesday - 22º at 6 AM. Father Medynski phoned before 7 am - no Mass as he has a cold. Sun 7:05 - 5:12. Mostly cloudy - rain predicted.
To Motor Vehicle Dept to have my licence changed to show glasses not needed for driving - a lot of forms but finally made it - horrible picture. Shopped [[? Deeps enroute to house - prices higher than Basics - stopped at bank to verify  "Now" interest - couldn't read it. home for lunch - hobbies - made Beet seed order.
