March 6
1978 - Monday - at Treasure Cay - Beautiful day. Breakfast of juice, coffee & beers brought with us. To grocery store to load up. - Pretty well stocked. Played 9 hole golf - without driving range practice Not too bad. Clubhouse moved to small house along along road and within walking distance - holes remembered. After lunch, nap and liquor purchase, we walked beach - Cocktail, Chicken dinner, read - bed.

1979 - Tuesday - 50° at 6 AM - heavy rain during night - to continue all day. Flood and muddy water Wes went to have oil changed and lube job but no one available. After a few house chores, hobbied all day. Saw first Redwing of this spring.
Pair Mallards landed - six white geese around every day - also 4 domes big ducks, and one goose came in account flood. To M Q & J for dinner at 5:30

1980 - Thursday - 33° at 6 AM - Beautiful day. High 42° - breezy. I drove to Ricky Harrison's with garden supplies - there at 7:30. We worked on [[?]]bree and in Ricky's [[?]]on went to Green Fingers shopped in 9 entries - a lot of work - shopped at bakery in Bedford Village - I reached home at one oclock. Wes had worked in shop. After lunch & nap we went to bank, Meckers (promix) [[?]]st. Wes fixed rest of potted bulb pots from cold frame at shed.

1981 - Friday - 26° at 6:30 - Cold sunny morning - cloudy afternoon and snow flurries at evening
Four Wright men trimmed trees and cut down some - chipped branches. I attended Women's Day of Prayer at St Elizabeth Seton's at 1 pm - We spent the hour with Wright. Shopped Ag way for thistle seed suet from Bethel Market - Ace Industrial - Baries - [[?]], Helen here for drink at 5:30 - to Heart to Hand for dinner

1982 - Saturday - 24° at 6:30 - Cloudy and damp and cold all day. Wright's 2 men spent a half day finishing the pruning. I left at 9:30 for Stop and Shop - bananas green 2/89[[cent]] - liquor - now using [[?]]pps Hill Scotch at $11.95 instead of Dewars at $21 - Marion Trust drove us to Hawsie Nash - and drove to "Green Fingers" show at Riverside - home at 3 pm - Wes had worked in shop - did his weekly cleaning split wood.

March 7

1978 - Tuesday - Treasure Cay - Beautiful day. After breakfast (local bread is delicious toasted too) We place nine holds of gold - walking to and from the clubhouse - Cost for 9 holes, 12 00 each plus $10 for cart. Had a beer - lunch - nap - walked the beach - bought post cards - drink - dinner - read "Kim" (me) Star War" (Wes) and to bed. 

1979 - Wednesday - 38° at 6 AM - Cloudy all day.
Wes had car serviced - relocated 2 squirrels. I picked up Gizela and we went to Rock Garden Workshop at Greenhouse. Home to lunch, nap - Weighed my homemade almost paste at M Q & Jule - Made [[strikethrough]] them [[/strikethrough]] macaroons using Cuisenart - only passbly good.
Hobbies balance of day.

1980 - Friday - 33° at 6 AM - Cloudy - some sun during day. I saw pair Canada Geese fly over - pair of Mallards came for corn - third, a male. later seed is flying close. Wes in shop. We took floor vacuum system apart to release cheese cloth dust cloth caught to dust off after order for sewing materials. Gave Avon order to neighbor Becky Killduff. Ricky Harrison phoned we had won first for cucumber and Safford steptocarous at Green finger. She will check & report tomorrow.

1981 - Saturday - 32° at 6:30. Cloudy - snow flurries - cleared to pale sunshine for a few hours after lunch. Did wash - Wes in shop. To Bogues site to check on Wright tree trimming yesterday - stayed two hours to cut brush and gather wood. At 6 oclock to Tracy's for dinner and one to Ridgefield Orchestra concert. Home at 10:30. Still snow flurries

1982 - Sunday - 33° at 6 AM - Foggy - Rain until evening - temperature high 38° - really miserable day.
To 8 o'clock Mass. Prepared for visit from Eileen - here with Rex at noon. Ma[[?]] family came in morning to show us ste[[?]] lug[[?]]e given Michael by friend of Grandfather. Had nice visit with Eileen. She left early account weather. We took a nap in livingroom where fire was good and warm. Finished reading papers - Saw 3rd episode of Nelson.
