March 18

1978 - Saturday - Final day at Treasure Cay - 
Windy beautiful, day. Leisurely breakfast. Not much food left, Paid bill - walked about - finished packing
Drink at Spinnaker - taxi at 12:45 - picked up Bob & Nadine Smyth - to airport - Palm Beach Aviation Air Commander ($225.00 plus exit fee of $13.00) at 2 pm - landed Palm Beach 3:15 - quick Customs - taxied in airplane to get car - to Holiday Inn Century Village - to St Ann's at 5:30 for Palm Sunday Mass - dining at Holiday Inn Garden Room (Downtown) Phoned Eileen - She had sent funnies.

[[1978?]] - Sunday - 22º at 6 AM. Fair Sun 6:03 - 6:05
Wes balanced books - off 3.00 for hours - check not cleared! I worked with plants  another livingroom drapery up.. To 11 o'clock Mass - Father announced o coffee and that Council wanted children quiet during Mass". Jerry Keeler and sister Marylou here to borrow our slide projector. I made apple pie and corn muffins. Beautiful day - quite cold and windy - high 42º

1980 - Tuesday - 52º at 6 AM. Cloudy - Foggy. Water up to top of overflow wall. 20 Mallards - 4 white Some rain in morning - cleared at noon - temperature fell to 42º. Did Garden Club chores - telephoned Sandy. Put records in order. Cleaned sewing closet - threw away several pieces of material. Wes broke a tap in center of casting. Went to Tiber to see if he could remove it - had a haircut - bought sunflower seed and corn - gasoline for car.

1981 - Wednesday - 12° at 6:30. Sun on snow makes a beautiful picture - Most of it melted in warm sun but not over 32º al day and a mean cold wind. 
To Brookfield Fireside to look at fireplace inserts and to IRS to get information on Solar deduction. gasoline from Lou Rargiso's Mobil - $1.53 gallon
Wes in shop. I transplanted broccoli and cauliflower seedlings.

1982 - Thursday - 28º at 6:15 - clear. Saw Geese flying over pond at breakfast time.
Regan installed shades our bathroom and bedroom - measuring one bracket for green guest room. Will return tomorrow. I went to Ballard workshop to hear Terry Heller - then went with Bev Preston to Katonah Country Epicure - bought a cake for us - she will return Monday for cakes for club meeting. Worked at South side cleaning up leaves and brush. Wes worked on mudroom shelf and split wood. Beautiful day.

March 19

1978 - Sunday - Breakfast at Holiday Inn Century Village - West Palm Beach - cloudy morning became clear - 62º AM. Rose to 70º. Up Florida Turnpike to Route 75 - good trip. Stopped Turnpike St. Drrum Citurs Shop - 1/2 bushel each oranges & grapefruit $4.90 each. At Georgia border visited Welcom Center - good looking buiilding - free Cokes & maps - helpful personnel marked route to Peue Mountain. At Ramada Inn, Valdista, Ga. - alongside I-75 for dinner (tough steak) and night. Had Mallards and one Goose on their pond.

1979-Monday - 20º at 6 AM - Clear - Saw 4 squirrels on terrace at breakfast time. So Wes put out traps - took one enroute Mass and one afterwards (total 21)
To Sears to exchange plant light - we installed it over white table in cellar - works fine. I looked for Women Club Meeting on Lisa Lane at 1 pm - couldn't find it so home - we went to Driving Range with Nos. 5 Irons and No.3 Woods Season Pass Small Basket 10/8.00 - good workout. I raked below barn - Wes did a little hobbying.

1980 - Wednesday - 20º at 6 AM. Fair - Two Canada Geese on pond bank - 20 Mallards - 4 whites. Wes chased the geese - flew quickly. Beautiful day - about 53º. I picked up Gizella at 8:30 and went ti White Plains Altmans & Bloomingdale's. Bought towels for yellow bath - wastepaper basket for kitchen - Gizella bought peach for us at Bloomingdale's. Home at 3. We had broken another tap in the second casting - Took it to Tebor & talked about picking up sheets.

1981 - Thursday - 8º at 6 AM - Cold! To Mass. Indoor day - except for birds and ducks. Pair Wood Ducks came at5 pm for corn. "Harley" the black & white Muscovy is called "Bolo" by Gheers as the others ignore him.
Louise McKeon came to look at Wedgewood Green Leaf china - our donation to North Salem Trail Association.
Mike brought Polaroid pictures of Bogus site - they leave for Florida today. Mike said new house - most costs in - total $116,000 without his fee.

1982 - Friday - 36º at 6 AM - cold day but lots of sun in afternoon - at wide intervals.
I worked at Ballard in morning - shopping at Stop & Shop before - left 3rd tablecloth at cleaners - fish from Brunetti. Home for lunch- nap - prepared dinner for Father Medynski here at 5:30 - left at 7:15. Shade installed in green guest room Phoned Lou Krauchuk re tax return.
We had split wood - needed logs for both fireplace as we spent late evening in den.
