February 25

1983 - Friday - 29º at 6:30.  Cloudy - snow predicted but never came here - gloomy damp day. 
Indoor day - Wes didn't have to split wood.  he worked in shop - after vacuuming
I went to Marcus for milk etc. Waxed some tables in livingroom - did a wash & sewed and mended.
Phoned Bit - she is doing well - Neil, Cam & Sean coming for weekend.

1984 - Saturday - 35º at 7 AM - Foggy - Beautiful spring-like morning - sunny - cloudy at noon and rain much colder.
Went to Bethel for birdfood - Bethel Market & 13¢ stamps for post cards on trip.
I'm resting my knee still - a nuisance.
House chores - cleaning - washing - finished making out seed orders to mail next week.

1985 - Monday - 44º at 6:30.  Cloudy - Some sun - hazy but warm in Solar. Wes in shop in A.M. I did house and plant chores - sent off seed orders to Harris - Burpee - Parks - more Wayside. After lunch, to Creative Bath - bought wall cabinet for shop lavatory.  Shopped Waldbaums - Marcus - bank. Wes started work on hanging cabinet in lavatory.  I ironed & cooked - day goes quickly.

1986 - Tuesday - 25º at 6 AM - Fair - sunny! - Cold beautiful winter day - high wind. To Mass.
House chores - hobby work - early lunch & short nap.  
I went to Needles on gaping arm holes of vest - the nature of the pattern but decided to use a smaller crochet stitch on arm hole - Met Muriel Pedersen at Greenhouse - went over ladies who have bulbs for "Preview of Spring" show - Shopped Stop & Shop - home - Wes had split wood - worked in shop - I fixed vest armholes. Phoned Joan - Hooker may come home tomorrow.

1987 - Wednesday - 23º at 6 AM - Fair - Star Venus and Crescent Moon (waning) beautiful in southeast sky. Beautiful winter day. To Mass.
I took my forced Hyacinths to Ballard Greenhouse - combined them with Muriel Pedersen's to make one pot - cleaned up Chris Clark's tulips - put moss around them.  Shopped Brunetti - Stop & Shop - to bank - home for lunch & nap. Wes had fed birds - vacuumed - did crossword. Took a walk up Ned Mountain and Ned's Lane - a long walk - met Mrs Sunley & poodle - Muscles tired in evening - too long a walk in afternoon.

February 26

1983 - Saturday - 24º at 7 AM. Slept late. Sun 6:36-5:45. Clear - sunny. Cold windy day - 31º at noon but Solar was warm before lunch and until after 4 pm.
Cleaned house - short time at hobbies. Early lunch and left at noon for Deeps Market and on to North Street Cinema "Gandhi" - 12:30/3:45, with one intermission. Very good. Home to set fire in den, fix dinner.

1984 - Sunday - 29º at 6:15 - Clear - Windy. Glad the expected snow didn't come last night. Sun 6:36-5:43. Beautiful day - sunny and cold again, but Solar was over 80º at noon. To 8 o'clock Mass. Read papers. Wes did desk work and continued work on tender. My leg was a little better - rested it. Watched Ian McKellan on Channel 13 at 2 pm perform Shakespeare - first time in ages watched TV in daytime. Martini in Solar at noon - nap in den - mattress on floor - sun shining in.

1985 - Tuesday - 35º at 6 AM - Cloudy. Moved the "greenish" bulbs into Solar as forecast is for cool & cloudy day - trying to hold them back. To Mass. Wes hung the lavatory cabt - worked in shop. I went to Edith Miffley's - discussed the renovation of Memorial Garden. To Pinchbeck for plastic pot saucers - home for lunch & nap. Transplanted Leucothoe cuttings into pots Hawsie Nash gave me -  Enkianthus cuttings not doing well - threw away a lot. Left bulbs in Solar overnight

1986 - Wednesday - 14º at 7 AM - Fair beautiful day but very cold and windy. Marcos left the Philippines for Guam and Hawaii yesterday
I went to Anne Tracy's for meeting on RGC meeting next month - home at 11 - worked with plants. Wes split wood and worked in shop. We did crossword except for two words - Lunch - nap. I made Tavern Bars to give Louise for the luncheon she is having after Mass Friday for Ruth Sharp. Phoned Joan - Hooker still has fever at night. Took samples of [[?sound]] liquid - will make cultures - keep him 36 hours more.

1987 - Thursday - 23º at 6 AM - Fair - Up early as taking entries to Preview of Spring Show - Greenwich. Put 3 plants in car (Myrtle - Hawsie's Narcissus - my Amaryllis) and on our way shortly after 7:30. The usual confusion at Christ Church Hall entering the pots - don't think we have a chance on bulbs - hope for Myrtle. Stopped at Samuel Bridge, but geraniums not in - to Ridgefield for gasoline - bird-food and liquor.  Home - took our walk up Ned Mountain - lunch - nap. Wes worked on crossword I cut out blue & white skirt.
