1984 - Wednesday - 30° at 6:30 - about inch of snow - high winds - Sun 6:31 - 5:46 - some snow flurries in morning but cleared for our trip to Banksville Left 10:15 - bought lightweight golf bags - paperbacks - sun lotion at Caldor's - on to La Cremaillere where met Bill Kalnay for luncheon. Rich and good - interesting decor - excellent service. Home at 3 pm. Nap. We finished putting up plant rack. I prepared entry cards for Greenwich Show.

March 1

1983 - Tuesday - 32° at 6 AM - Cloudy. New Jersey trains on strike - Metro North strike postponed until next week. Gloomy day - rain at 5 pm - heavy in evening
House chores and hobbies in morning. Lunch - nap.. 
To Brewster Mantel and Fireplace Shop - no mantels - located Herbs & stopped at Pepperidge enroute home

1984. Thursday - 19° at 6 AM - clear. Cold - cloudy. Some snow flurries. Up early. After breakfast packed car with entries for Greenwich show - Wes drove me to McKeons at 7:20 - he then went to Mass. Louise drove to Greenwich - we entered our bulbs - met Hawsie Nash and helped with her entries. Hawsie drove me back to her house - Wes picked me up - the den sofa bed had been returned - had a lovely nap on it. Took down Christmas wreaths - picked up sticks

1985 - Friday - 30° at 6 AM - Clear. Sun 6:30-5:47 Sunny morning - hazy afternoon
I went to Stop & Shop for a few groceries - bank - picked up two hooks for upstairs bathroom from Colby's Wes installed them. After  lunch & nap, painted the shop lavatory, except for the new cupboard which has to be sanded first. Made cookies for Eileen's visit tomorrow. One pot of tulips for Greenwich show is out but not open - hope to hold them to the 7th.

1986 - Saturday - 18° at 630 AM - Sunny. - beautiful day - sunny and cold. House chores. Early lunch. To see "Hannah and her Sisters" - Woody Allen's movie at Commerce Park 1:20 pm - to Pharmacy - Sturdevants - Waldbaum's following. Eileen phoned - Joan had called her Hooker still in hospital - kidney infection - disappointed not to come home but Joan is okay. Lou Krawchick phoned - needs more tax information. Amaryllis for Greenwich show opening buds - tulips just showing buds

1987 - Sunday - 36° at 6:30 - Raining - steadily all day - heavy at times - temperature just over 40°. To 8 o'clock Mass - read papers - Wes phoned Mary - She was in dance production of church all week - early lunch & nap - to Green Fingers Preview of Spring Show at 1:30 - looked at exhibits - bought some great birthday cards at Christ Church Book Shop - picked up our entries at 4 pm - rain not too bad for trip home - changed clothes - had  drink - read papers - dinner (won second in PAR for myrtle)
