February 9

1988 - Tuesday - 19° at 5:45. Moon bright - stars out. Up early as I go into city to see Mr. Long. - Wes drove to Purdy's and I took 9:23 train - on time - saw Mr Long - thought he looked old - he probably thought I did also -caught 12:48 train back & Wes met me at Purdys. He had been to bank - worked in shop. We had a nap, worked on crossword - hard for a Tuesday.

1989 - Thursday - 18° at 6 AM - Sun 6:57-5:23 Very cold, high wind, but sunny day. Not outdoor weather. To Mass. To Reclamation, bank, Bedrents for rubber gasket for pressure cooker, Brunetti and Stop & Shop. Home for lunch - nap - hobbies.

1990 - Friday - 40° at 6:45 - Fair. Sun 6:58 - 5:23. Beautiful morning - cloudy afternoon - rain at night. No Mass - Father had flu. To Grand Union for oatmeal - only had the small - bank - liquor -Wes bought me black velvet house slippers for my birthday - home - took a two mile walk - lunch. nap - Wes in shop - I made David's cookies - bran muffins - lemon curd (good) and Walnut Roulade (not good) in the microwave.

1991 - Saturday - 31° at 7 AM. Heavy frost on ground. Sun 6:58 - 5:23. A very good winter day. Did the crossword - took the Metropolitan envelope to the P.O. Huge crowd. Had our mile walk. Pounded down soil raccoon had dug up around birdfeeders. Lunch in Solar - nap. I listened to "Magic Flute" Texaco's 1000th opera sponsored. Wes in shop - I put belt on print skirt. Regina Morris phoned to ask me to substitute as Lector for her tomorrow so I studied readings

1992 - Sunday - 20° at 6:15. Fair - growing light at 6:30 - Windy Sun 6:58-5:22. Cold windy day Wind blew snow from roof and trees constantly. I cleaned up front walk terrace and Solar Roof. Wes pushed snow from deck - about two inches. 
Had a martini at noon - Wes cooked lamb chops. Nap - Hobbies

February 10

1988 - Wednesday - 29° at 6 AM - a good winter day. To Mass. To Reclamation - on to Danbury. Wes had car washed, while I shopped at Waldbaum's. Took our walk to Sunley's. Lunch - nap - finished crossword. Wes in shop. I finished three of the seed orders - had to go to Post Office for [[strikethrough]] my [[/strikethrough]] more stamps - it was very crowded at 4:30. Day goes fast - not much done. Hung Winterthur windchime on tree at entrance garden room.

1989 - Friday - 16° at 6 AM. Cloudy. Sun 656-525 Partly sunny/cloudy and very cold when no sun. To Mass. Father gave us grapefruit. Finished the tax work - sent information to Lou Krawcheck - to bank to have proceeds of CD's put in checking account - called Alison Rowe & arranged to buy Northeast Utilities. Too cold to walk - hobbied rest of day - Pinchbeck delivered a basket of Primulas from Billie Newell for my birthday.

1990 - Saturday - 50° at 7 AM Very foggy. 656-524 Rain - light - most of day - cleared at sunset and temperature fell. House chores in morning. Early lunch and to North Street movie "Stanley & Iris" - Jane Fonda and Robert DeNiro - good. Stopped at Fabric Tree for interfacing - home for a nap. Prepared dinner - Wes in shop.

1991 - Sunday - 32° at 6 AM - Sun 657-524  Good day - mostly sunny - colder than past few days. To 8 o'clock Mass. Phoned Mary, Joan & Bit - all well. Wes succeeded in putting in three trailer track fulcrum! Great news. I made out Prairie Nursery & Viette orders for woodland plants. Wrote out check for New Rochelle College contribution. Vargas picked us up at 12:20 - to Auberge Maxime for lunch (dinner) Very good. Saw their new addition - sunroom and bath, on return. nap - read papers - no supper for me - Wes had a banana & milk.

1992 - Monday - 10° at 7:30. Really slept late - or in bed anyway. Fair. Sun 6:57-5:24 Saw a deer crossing this way over Old Mill Road - later saw one crossing Bogus near Smith's. Jim Redmond came to do electric work in hay loft & change outlets various rooms to work top & bottom; Wes went for a haircut (South St Danbury) dropped me off to Fabric Tree where I bought material for blouses & skirt (white)  To Bank with Conn. Bond interest (from Prudential) lunch - nap - took a mile walk - Wes in shop - I finished paisley cotton skirt
