Accession 29131. March 16, 1895. Brachiopods of the Travailleur Expedition, from the eastern Atlantic Ocean, at great depths. Presented by the Musée d Histoire Naturelle at Paris in exchange for (Crustaceans?) other invertebrates

Accession 29097. March 6, 1895. Twenty-seven species of Japanese marine shells and fifteen other species, presented by W.W. Herman in return for naming shells.

Accession 28985 & 29100. Feb. 1 and March 7, 1895 Land and fresh-water shells from the Isle of Pines, Cuba, presented by W.B.N. Johnson.

Accession 28720. Nov. 1, 1894. Series of Terebratula transversa and other shells from Puget Sound, presented by the Young Naturalists Society of Seattle, Washington.

Accession 29340.
Lower Californian landshells presented by the California Academy of Sciences through Dr. J.G. Cooper in return for identifications made for the Academy. A valuable lot.

Accessions 28446, 28510 and 28661.
Land shells and other material from the International boundary between Mexico and the U.S. collected by Dr. E.A. Mearns  which attached to the Boundary Commission, containing many new or rare species.

The numerous accessions received from Miss Ida, M.Shepard and Mr.J.S. Oldrogo in connection with their investigations of the fauna of San Pedro Bay, Cala. are very valuable to the collection, through mostly species of small size, and include a number of novelties

The Fish Commission (Verrill) material now being received in instalments has been already alluded to as of great importance.
