[[/5 column table]]

Since several volumes of the register are necessarily in use at the same time the total number of entries can only be shown by a statement of the entries in each volume as in the above table. In 205 of the entries made during the fiscal year the number of specimens is indicated by the word many. Estimating these entries at 20 specimens each, the whole number of specimens labelled, catalogued and added to the study collection during the year is 14132, which added to the total indicated in the report of last year makes a total of 519388 specimens in the reserve collection of mollusks.

In the collection of duplicates:-
Last entry to June 30, 1895—2546
Last entry to June 30, 1894—2287
Entries during fiscal year — 259

In this collection each entry in the catalogue represents one species or variety, no count being kept of the number Of specimens.

Transcription Notes:
My only question concerns the way the last section is keyed where it gives the Last entries for June 30, 1895, and Last entries to June 1894, and the total. Should there be a long line separating the year from the number of entries?
