This family of bivalve mollusks bores into clay, or even hard rock, as is seen in the specimens exhibited ([[underline]]Dactylina dactylus[[/underline]]) which have [[strikethrough]]bored[[/strikethrough]] [[^buried themselves]] in gneiss.
